The Headquarters are at St. Jude's Social Club in the Poolstock area of Wigan.
165 members are on the Books at this time, with a considerable waiting list.
Walks are organised on a monthly basis, starting at 9.00am on the first Sunday
of every month, in locations no more than a two hour drive from Wigan.
This opens-up venues in the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Peak District and
North Wales.
The walks are graded into "A", "B" and "C" categories, dependent on the walker's
capabilities.
A coach is hired for the day and on the return journey, a stop is made at a suitable hostelry for a pre-arranged meal before returning to base at around 9.00pm
